Plodding on...

Only got 500 of Merlin written yesterday and nothing on Reluctant.
Very BAD me!

But I was so tired again... Must, must, must get to bed early. But the luxury time away from the hobbitses is too tempting. Once they're in bed I want to maximise my time... and end up watching too much telly LOL.

Have to write something on Reluctant now. I left them in a rather... erm... compromising position *grin*

Oops... missed a day

Got to writing late today.

Walking to school with Frodo and Samwise soaked me through to the skin. There and back. So when Samwise went for his nap (the time that I write) I had to sleep too.

Then I had to walk in the rain again this afternoon.

Not a happy bunny.

But I got some research done for Merlin - so that it can move on. And I'm well over 7k which is cool. Still managed at least 1k a day. And that's startling. *grin* Reluctant got another 600 words tonight. Could be the best way to write the sex scenes. In small chunks so that I don't think about it and it gets rejigged in the editing stage.

Have to take Samwise to playgroup in the morning. But Grandma Gandalf is here in the afternoon. So should get something done *grin*

And another...

Another good day...

Have I *finally* found the formula that gets me writing a good amount of words on a daily basis?
Hope so. *grin*

My interview is up at Enchanted Ramblings. Yay. And soon I could even have a website if Aragorn pulls his finger out and gets it sorted!

Writing now, means I get to have fun with Alchemy. I've realised I must have a Byzantine plot to go with my Byzantine setting. Eek. So I'm layering a la Maass. And hoping to find some sort of plot in all the confusion.

Another day of writing

I had a good day yesterday... and managed to sort out an interview for Enchanted (one with a difference *grin*). I also started the third part of the Snowflake for Alchemy. I'll be able to write character sheets tonight.

Just finished my alotted 250 on Reluctant and added another... 1200... to Merlin.

It's scarily easy writing at the minute.

It can't last!

On a roll!

The Merlin novella rattled along this morning and is at 1900 words. Really pleased with that. I plotted it last night and, with the joy of the subconscious, managed to put in a lot of the myth... with a very different twist *grin*

I added another 400 words to Reluctant. That's at 22k. Double yay.

I also, in a fit of madness, signed up for NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month). Going to use it to get a serious portion of The Alchemist - now known as Alchemy - written.

Hopefully, this will all go to plan and I'll have a serious wedge of words by the time December rolls around. *grin*

Stinking cold. Blech

After yesterday being as hot as July, I have a stinking cold.

I think it's my body's way of saying that is so wrong in October. Anyway, it's seriously interfering with Reluctant. It's not easy writing sexy sizzling scenes when your nose is streaming, your throat's raw and you just want to sleep.

Saying that, I did get the scene started. Which is cool.

Alchemist seriously distracted me yesterday. On the way to pick up Frodo, I was chatting into my dictaphone like a mad woman. Shame street noise obscured half of it. LOL. But a character that popped up on the first page is now integral to the plot. He's the antagonist and he'll be my favourite sort... Attractive, sinister, ambigious. Oops. Sounds like my hero too. Never mind. It'll keep the heroine/protagonist guessing *grin*

And it's based on the Byzantine Empire. I've always wanted to write about there. Way too influenced by Yeats at school.

Bounce, bounce, bounce

Forgot to say...

The editor at Enchanted asked me to do an advert for The Billionaire's Seduction. *squee*

It'll be in the October 15 Issue. I know it's six months off. But it's a start!

Oops... Started another one

Still waiting to see whether the course will develop into something that I want to go to...

But I did my homework this morning. Not the homework set... but it did seem to be fluid. So I started Alchemist, the story I planned to write after Reluctant. I have a rough outline and idea of the characters. Though a new one just popped out about 400 words in :-)

After Relcutant, I'll probably Snowflake the thing. Though I seemed to have used up my joy in the Snowflake with Exploding. Which is a shame. Can't seem to get into it again. Maybe it was Reluctant. That's mostly character and emotion over a few days.

Exploding does exactly what it says on the box.

Today's Excuse...

Only got about 300 words down today... but I do need to plan the next bit out in finer detail. Honest.

Also my night course is starting. *grin* Building fictional words. Twenty weeks. Hopefully, I'll be able to get the next fantasy sorted out - ready to write after Reluctant... Wow it almost looks like a plan.

Well, back to reading through Exploding Mule, while my subconscious ponders and plots.

Reading...

I read through the first 20k of Reluctant.

Surprisingly, the first three chapters are okay *grin*. Four and Five are getting there. Now it's the joy of the middle. I hate the middle. I know I have to push everything forward to reach the 'black moment' or whatever other term you want to use. But middles drag. And the worse place of all is the middle of the middle. Argh.

Plus the fact that it's about 20k of angst and sex...

It's a tough job, isn't it...?
